Thank you for Answering the Cry of the Poor! Together, we are warriors in conquering poverty. And the best way to recruit more warriors is to simply start by asking. The #1 reason people join a cause or give generously to a cause is because someone asks. You raise money because you ask for it, so be sure to ask everyone you know! 

ASK PERSONALLY  

Share your personal story and experiences. Connect with your sponsors, contributors, and donors on a personal level by sharing why you are participating.  

ASK EVERYONE  

And we mean everyone! Your neighbours, FB Friends, coworkers, clients, doctors, stylist – everyone you know or come across.  

ASK BIG  

If you ask someone for $200, you might get $150, or maybe you’ll get $100 or $50. Set your goal high, dream big and raise as much as you can.  

ASK CONFIDENTLY  

Their sponsorship money is not for you. You’re asking to help the less fortunate improve their education and lives in general – and an end to poverty. 

 

ASK IN 5 EASY STEPS  

1. Share the experience.

Example: “living in poverty steals the everyday joys and long-term dreams. With your donation, we can little by little create moments of hope for people living below the poverty line.”  

2. Explain why it’s important to you.

Example: “My impoverish friends battle sickness and social discrimination every day. I watch them hopelessly trying to meet ends on a daily basis. I am committed to being their Warrior, a Champion of Yes.”  

3. Show what you’re doing about it.

Example: “I’m joining the 20th ANCOP Walk to spread awareness about poverty and raise funds for children’s education and shelter for their family.”  

4. Ask your donor to take a specific action.

Example: “Will you make a $100.00 donation to support my friends and more than 100 million children around the world who is deprived of basic education and health. As well as basic necessities of life such as shelter. 

5. Pause and let your donor answer. Hope for the best!
